Meet the founder of Mayfield Fitness

  • Who am I?

    I love God, my wife, my family and friends, Yorkshire, adventure and my Mum's Sunday roasts! Growing up I was always curious to see what my body was capable of, asking: can I go faster, higher, further? I've always buzzed off that feeling of living life to the full and being totally immersed and focused on the goal! For me, not many things beat the feeling of being at my physical peak. When I feel like I could climb mountains, scale rock faces, swim up rivers and run for hours and never give up!

  • Why I set up Mayfield Fitness

    I set up Mayfield Fitness to share my passion! I love helping people to achieve their goals and make the most of their physical gifts. Our bodies are amazing but most people waste their physical potential through bad diet habits and inactivity. We're here to help those who want to change. Those brave enough to take that first step and begin a journey towards their physical peak. Are you up for it?

  • My Background
    and qualifications

    I received a 1st class degree in Sport Development from Leeds Metropolitan University and went on to secure my fitness instructor and REPS Level 3 personal training qualifications alongside my nutritional advisor certificate. I also have level 1 football, basketball, CTC trail leader, MIAS level 1 and GO Mountain bike. I am first aid trained and have undertaken non violent crisis intervention training.

    Alongside my formal education I have benefited from training in an elite environment. I have captained the England Students Rugby League team, played for the Wakefield Wildcats under 21s and I am currently playing Rugby League at Hemel Stags RLFC in Championship 1. On top of this, I love pushing myself in endurance events. I have completed the Rome marathon, competed in triathlons in Lanzarote, conquered the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in under 6 hours and cycled John o' Groats to Lands' End in 7 days.
